Board of Trustees Meeting

July 21, 2011

The meeting was called to order by Pat Beiermann, President.

Present:                  P. Beiermann, C. McMillen, M. Brown, L. Gunderson, R. Hellemeyer

Absent:                  E. Hauser, P. Stemmley

Also present:         Mary Brewster, Library Director.

The minutes of the Board meeting of June 16, 2011 were approved as written.

Motion 1:  It was moved by L. Gunderson and seconded by R. Hellemeyer that bills in the amount of $41,831.76 be paid.

COMMUNICATIONS

        1570 AM WBGZ radio asked for a donation for spot announcements.

        Accountants sent information on a fee raise from $580 to $597 (less than 3%).

COMMITTEES

UNFINISHED BUSINESS    

            Discussed Reading Program for the summer.

            Discussed end of summer programs.

            Discussed letter from Impact concerning the Little House accessibility.

NEW BUSINESS

            Library Clerk position – testing and interviewing.

            Ground water sump pump replaced.

            Discussed paid vacation and sick leave to Clerks and Supervisors – tabled to August.

            Discussed raises, Sunday time and a half, Shelvers, Library Director – tabled to August.

Motion 2:  It was moved by L. Gunderson and seconded by C. McMillen that Ordinance 2011-8, Resolution of Determination of Prevailing Wage Rates be approved.
